Last week, Mrs. Sawyer’s Prekindergarten class and Mrs. Ray’s Kindergarten class received a special visit from Pastor Ron Ray for Veteran’s Day! During his visit, Pastor Ron Ray read the book “Brave For My Family”, written by his 7 year old grandson, Davidson.

“Brave For My Family” is a compassionate and loving story about Davidson’s own personal experience with his father. As a soldier, his father spends time on duty for his country and away from his family. The story shows the importance of God in the family during these times of difficulty and the faith it takes for families as they endure the unknown. The proceeds of this book support Military Families and Wounded Warriors.
While living in United States, Davidson attended Prekindergarten at SSCA and currently lives in Poland, where his family is stationed. Not only did our prekindergarten and kindergarten classes have the opportunity to read his story, but they also had the opportunity to FaceTime with the author during class!
