We are excited to announce the hiring of Mr. William B. Carter as SSCA's new Principal, starting July 1, 2018. Mr. Carter will work in conjunction with our Head of School, to oversee and direct the academic and student life experience of SSCA.
Eurydice is a contemporary reimagining of the Orpheus myth told from the perspective of Eurydice. The playwright Sarah Ruhl blends the classical Greek myth with modern storytelling techniques including a chorus of stones, poetic language, and even a raining elevator.
Join us at our 3rd Annual We Believe Dinner as we celebrate South Shore Christian Academy and honor Mr. Ed Gaskin by presenting him with the Micah 6:8 Award, given in recognition of work that exemplifies the justice, mercy, and humility seen in Micah 6:8.
The Upper School spent a few days in New Hampshire. The High School visited Berea, while Middle School students visited Rumney Bible Conference. The focus of these retreats was spiritual growth and direct social interaction.
School is off to a great start! It is always wonderful to see the smiling faces and happy steps as children return to their classes. Teachers were busy the weeks before opening organizing materials, setting up classrooms, and gathering supplies. Having the children back brought excitement to our empty hallways.
College planning is in full swing at SSCA with visits from college admission representatives, senior and junior college planning nights, individual college meetings, and a new College Guidance study hall.
