South Shore Christian Academy's music program is designed to nurture and grow every student's musical ability, recognizing that every student possesses the ability to create beautiful art. Our desire is to promote music as an art and to provide our students with a well-rounded music education that exposes students to a variety of excellent music.

Lower School:
Students in Preschool through Grade 5 participate in weekly music classes. Students in Grades 3-12 can take small-group, fee based, band instrumental lessons through our partner organization, Paul Effman Music. Students in Grades 4-12 can also take small-group string lessons through our in-house string orchestra program. Both our band and string orchestra programs provide performance opportunities throughout the school year.

Upper School:
SSCA has a rapidly growing ensemble program! All students in Grades 6-12 have the opportunity to take choir and/or orchestra during Arts Block -- a period of the day set aside for the Arts. They may also participate in chapel band during Flex Block -- a period of the day set aside for clubs and activities. Grades 6-12 can also take small-group, fee based, band instrumental lessons through our partner organization, Paul Effman Music.
