Musical Arts

music

South Shore Christian Academy's music program is designed to nurture and grow every student's musical ability, recognizing that every student possesses the ability to create beautiful art. Our desire is to promote music as an art and to provide our students with a well-rounded music education that exposes students to a variety of excellent music.

Students take general music classes from preschool through grade 8, enabling them to develop musical literacy, appreciation for a variety of global musical styles, and the ability to make music vocally and on a variety of instruments.  SSCA is well equipped with keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, Orff instruments, and various African and Latin rhythm instruments.

Students in middle and high school (grades 6-12) can participate in choir and chapel band, offered as part of the school day during Flex Block.

Students in Grades 3-12 can take small-group, fee based, band instrumental lessons through our partner organization, Paul Effman Music.
