Steps to Apply

Thank you for your interest in joining the South Shore Christian Academy community! Please follow the steps below to begin the application process.

Submit your Application

Once you create a parent account, you will receive instructions via email to create an account on our Admission Portal. From our Portal, you may begin working on your application, submit materials, check on your application's status, and get up-to-date admission information.

Please note that students must be a certain age by September 1 to start school:

Preschool - 2.9 (2 years and 9 months old)

Pre-K - 4 years old

Kindergarten - 5 years old

Step 4: Entrance Testing/Screening

These are used to evaluate students for admission.

Entrance Screening for Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten:
Faculty will do an on-site brief assessment of a child's skills and development.

Entrance Testing for Grades 1-5:
Faculty conduct on-site tests to assess a student's academic level, ability to learn and perform tasks.

Entrance Testing for Grades 6-12:

Students submit their SSAT or ISEE scores

Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT): a standardized test for students that measures reading, writing, verbal, and math skills

The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE): a test that is administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) for admission to independent schools. The test includes five sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics Achievement, and an Essay.

Step 6: Warrior for a Day

*Grades 1-12

SSCA prides itself in being the Warriors. After your student has applied to the school. Their next step is to experience a school day as a Warrior.

This event is from 8:30AM to 12:30PM. The activities include:

student will participate in interactive classes
in-person tour
parent/guardian & student interviews

As a parent/guardian you will not have to stay the whole day. You can drop off your student at 8:30 AM then pick them up at 12:15 PM. You will have to be present for the parent/guardian interview. You can pick the time that works best for you.
