Theatre At SSCA
The theatre arts are essential to a well-rounded liberal arts education, enabling students to use the stage to ring truth and light to the world. While collaborating with others, our performers are able to explore a story or idea in order to communicate a shared vision with the audience. Overall, our theater arts program creates courage, self-confidence, self-expression, and creativity in our students.
We offer various extracurricular opportunities in theatre. Students in Grades 6-12 can participate in the theatre program's two annual main-stage productions which include a black-box style fall play and a large-scale spring musical. Each production provides opportunities for students to explore different roles in the theatre in both production and performance. In the summer, a theatre workshop is available for students, ages 5-18.
