Time: 12:00pm
Where: South Shore Christian Academy Burrell Field | 45 Broad Street, Weymouth, MA

All attendees, for the purpose of contact tracing and to prevent overcrowding, are required to pre-register using the form below, provide contact information, and must agree to the disclosure statements on the form.

Please note that no walk-ins will be permitted.

We are not setting a guest limit per graduate, however, we kindly ask that no family exceeds 20 guests in an effort to not run out of seating.
Yes, all attendees, including families, friends, and SSCA faculty/staff and students are required to register using this form in order to attend, provide contact information, and must agree to the disclosure statements on the form. The only attendees that DO NOT have to register are the graduates themselves.
No, all guests have to be pre-registered. This is for both safety and health reasons.
No. If this does occur, please email at least 24 hours before the event to let us know the name and contact info of the new attendee. Without their info sent in advance, they will not be permitted to enter our building.
All guests must register by Wednesday, June 9.
Since this is an outdoor event, masks are not required.
We are using a blocked seating system for all of our spring events. When you register, you will be required to list the graduate you are attending for. Every guest who registers under your student's name will be seated in a block together. Each families' block will be spaced more than six feet apart from other families.
If you are not attending for a specific graduate, you will still be required to register by filling out this form. When you reach the question, "Name of Graduate," please list your role (i.e. student, faculty/staff, board member, alumni, etc.). You will be seated in a block only with those you registered with on the form.
Graduates are required to attend our mandatory rehearsal on Friday, June 11 at 11am (right after Last Chapel). Graduates will receive their caps and gowns at rehearsal and should bring their yearbooks for signing.
Male graduates are expected to wear khaki pants with a polo or dress shirt. Female graduates are expected to wear khaki pants with a nice shirt, a nice dress, or a skirt and nice shirt. All graduates should wear dress shoes of some kind-NO sneakers please!
All graduates must arrive for Commencement on June 12 by 11:00am to line up for procession. Graduates are to enter through door 11 to congregate in the gym.
Guests can begin to check in at the entrance to the field beginning at 11:20am. If you arrive before 11:20am, we kindly ask you to wait in your car.
Cars must enter through the front driveway and wrap around to the side parking lot. Please follow all directions given by the parking attendant(s). No cars are permitted to enter the back entrance.
At 11:20am, guests are permitted to go to the check in table in front of the main gate of the field. Please stand on the markers designated to keep people six feet apart and wear your mask(s). At the check in table, Commencement workers will confirm each guest's name and the graduate they are there for (if applicable). Once a guest is confirmed, they will receive an entry bracelet that they must wear at all times during the event, be asked to use hand sanitizer, and will be directed by an usher to their seats.
Water bottles will be provided but we do suggest bringing extra water. We also suggest applying sunscreen before arriving and continuing to apply sunscreen throughout the Commencement activities.
Restrooms will be available inside. Guests are to enter through door 11 and use the bathrooms near the gym. They should exit back through door 11.
Guests will be permitted to leave their tables and go to the photo area on the left side of the stage to take a photo of their graduate. We suggest limiting the amount of people from your block to go take photos to ONE GUEST. This will allow for the best social distancing practices and prevent overcrowding. Please remain behind the barrier, take photos quickly and return to your seat. You can take more photos once the ceremony is over. Please also note that various photographers will be on site taking professional photos of the graduates. These photos will be made available as soon as possible following Commencement.
Caps and gowns will be distributed at rehearsal on June 11. Caps and gown have been purchased and paid for using your Commencement fee. The caps and gowns are yours to keep! The gowns must be hung up at least one night prior to Commencement. The gowns cannot be ironed but can be steamed.
Yes! A livestream will be available through Zoom and we will be posting the Zoom link on our website and social media.
