Health/Safety
Students and faculty/staff must abide by the following regulations:

  • Wear face masks at all times (except for designated mask breaks including lunch & recess)
  • Maintain three feet of distance from all peers and faculty/staff
  • Maintain six feet of distance from all peers and faculty/staff when participating in a mask break
  • Wash hands frequently and thoroughly
  • Stay home if sick
All faculty/staff and students in Grades 2-12 are required to wear face masks/coverings. Students in Kindergarten and Grade 1 are not required to wear face masks but are encouraged to do so. Students in Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten are not permitted to wear masks.
Lower School will have at least 5 mask breaks a day including lunch and recess times. Upper School will at least 4 mask breaks a day including lunch.

Lower School students will have designated hand washing times before and after recesses and before and after eating (snack & lunch). Upper School students will be required to wash their hands before and after lunch and before entering into a new classroom.
No. Covid testing will not be required for students, faculty, or staff before returning to school. Covid testing will be required under two circumstances:

  • If a student, faculty, or staff has developed any Covid-19 symptoms OR
  • If a student, faculty, or staff has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19
No. Temperature screenings will not take place at the school. Instead, parents/guardians should take their child(ren)'s temperature at home before coming into school each day. A temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher is considered a fever. Students with a fever are required to stay home and parents/guardians must report the temperature to the nurse by calling the Main Office at (781)331-4340.
With face masks on, a minimum of 3 feet of distance from others should be followed. However, when possible, 6 feet of distance is best. Health professionals understood the difficulty 6 feet of distance placed on schools and confirmed that 3 feet of distance is effective when masks are on. It will be our goal to have students 3 feet or more away from their peers and teachers at all times.
We expect families and staff to follow safety and health guidelines outside of school. This includes but is not limited to wearing a face mask in public, maintaining social distancing, and making healthy choices. We obviously cannot monitor all staff and families while they are outside of school thus we are relying on trust. We trust that families and staff will practice safe habits. As a school community, we want to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
To reach the nurse, please call the Main Office at (781)331-4340.

Reasons to call the nurse include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • If your child has a health concern that does not permit them to wear a face mask or covering
  • If your child has a fever (temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher) (they should stay home if they have a fever)
  • If your child is sick and/or experiencing Covid-19 symptoms
  • If your child tests positive for Covid-19
  • If your child is considered a close contact to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, they must get tested. You will then call the nurse to inform her of your child's test results.
Yes. Despite the fact that students in preschool and pre-k are prohibited from wearing face masks, teachers are required to wear face masks at all times.
