 AP Exam Information


Registered SSCA students will soon be taking AP exams.  

The remaining exam schedule is as follows:

Students should bring the following items to the exam:

  • Several sharpened No. 2 pencils (with erasers) for all multiple-choice answer sheets.
  • Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams.
  • A watch (in case the exam room does not have a clock that you can see easily).
  • A calculator with the necessary capabilities if taking an AP Calculus Exam.Visit to learn more about the calculator policy for each of these exams, and for a list of authorized calculators. 
  • The student's social security number for identification purposes (optional).If provided, the number will appear on the AP Grade Reports.  Juniors, if you do use your social security number on this year's exam, you must also do the same for any exams taken during senior year.

Students should not bring the following to the exam:

  • Cell phones, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs), BlackBerry smartphones, Bluetooth-enabled devices, MP3 players, e-mail/messaging devices, or any other electronic or communication devices
  • Books, compasses, mechanical pencils, colored pencils*, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters*, or notes
  • Rulers and straightedges
  • Scratch paper (notes can be made on portions of the exam booklets
  • Computers* or calculators (except as noted above)
  • Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions
  • Watches that beep or have an alarm
  • Portable listening* or recording devices (even with headphones) or photographic equipment
  • Food or drink*
  • Clothing with subject-related information


*Unless this has been pre-approved as an accommodation by the College Board Services for Students with Disabilities office prior to the test date.


Students are required to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the exam:7:30 a.m. for the morning administration.Students may not be dismissed until an exam has officially ended. 


Students should get a good night's rest before the test, and eat a nutritious breakfast. They are allowed to bring a snack and beverage for the 10-minute break. However, eating is prohibited while taking an exam.

 Parent Fellowship 


Parent Fellowship provides great family fun events, community building experiences for the student body as well as support faculty and staff in their daily roles by providing a great team of room mothers and fathers, assistants in lunch room duties, "fun"draising events that help support the school in providing lots of "extras" for our students. 


If you have never considered your role here at SSCA, perhaps the time is now!  Please consider taking helping next year to make 2012-2013 the best year ever at SSCA!

SSCA Book Fair 

On Tuesday through Thursday, May 15 - 17, teachers are scheduling time for their students to visit the SSCA Book Fair. Items will be available for purchase at that time.
The Book Fair will also be available to parents and families Thursday evening, before the Lower School Fine Arts Night, from 6 to 6:30pm.  Fliers will be going home, so please check your child's folder.  Cash or checks accepted.  Checks should be made out to SSCA.

Lower School Spring Concert

Thursday, May 17


All Lower School students will participate in our spring concert on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30pm.  Students should report to their classrooms by 6:00pm. Students have already received information from their music teachers with specific details regarding the concert.


Please enter through the parking lot side door or the main front door.  Those doors will be locked after 6:30pm.  Late arrivals should enter through the front gymnasium doors.  Those needing handicap access should use the gym door located behind the school.
